This one-day inter-college coding competition was held in two rounds:
Code-Fiesta ‘22 is an one-day inter-college code competition which was organized by the Department of Computer Science, The Bhawanipur Education Society College on 12.11.2022. This competition consisted of two rounds. In Round 1, An MCQ-based written examination was conducted for 1 Hour. The examination was held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at room number 414 and 443. Total 110 students (55 groups- 2 students in each group) across different colleges participated in this competition. The questions of this written test were set and moderated by Dr. Sunirmal Khatua and Dr. Soumya Sen, Assistant Professors of University of Calcutta. Total 42 students (21 groups- 2 students in each group) were selected for the next round after evaluation of the written test. After this round, there was a lunch break of 1 hour. In Round 2, a real-life problem was provided to the qualifiers of round 1 which had to be demonstrated by C programming language. This round was conducted in Room number 438 and 440. Competitors were allotted 2 hours time to solve the given problem. At the end of 2 hours, two judges of the competition, Dr. Sunirmal Khatua and Dr. Soumya Sen, Assistant Professors of University of Calcutta evaluated the outcomes of each group and declared the champions of the competition. The participants from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara bagged the winner’s title along with the prize money of Rs 5000. Bangabasi College secured the first runner’s up position and the prize money of Rs 3000. The candidates from Asutosh College stood third in the competition with the prize money of Rs 2000. The prize distribution and valedictory session was held at 4:00 PM in Room No. 443. The event came to an end around 5:00 PM after the valedictory session.
