An awareness event was organized by The Department of Business Administration on 18th and 20th August 2025 in Room 322 (3rd Floor) to promote the use of SWAYAM NPTEL, a digital platform designed to enhance learning through accessible online resources. The event aimed to introduce the students to the platform’s features, encourage digital literacy, and highlight the benefits of integrating technology into education.
Objectives The key objectives of the event were:
To create awareness about the availability and advantages of SWAYAM NPTEL Courses.
To demonstrate how the platform can support students, educators, and professionals in continuous learning.
To promote digital learning as a flexible, cost-effective, and engaging alternative to traditional education methods.
To address common challenges and provide guidance for effective platform usage.
Event Highlights
Opening Ceremony: The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Paridhi Agarwal who emphasized the importance of digital education in the modern era. She introduced the Resource Persons of the Event namely Dr. Arnab Gangopadhyay from the Department of Physis and Mr. Utsab Mukherjee from the Department of Computer Science.
Platform Demonstration: A live demonstration showcased key features of the platform such as interactive courses, video lectures, self-assessment tools, and certification and internship opportunities.
Student Testimonials: Learners who had previously used the platform presented their experiences, highlighting its user-friendly interface and impact on their academic performance.
Interactive Session: Participants engaged in Q&A sessions to clarify doubts and gain practical tips on using the platform effectively.
Vote of Thanks: The vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Tridib Sengupta, Course Coordinator, Department of Business Administration.

The event was attended by 202 students of the BBA Department, mostly from Semester 1. The students reflected strong interest in digital education and the future of e-learning.
