The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised an Arm Wrestling Competition on 4th August 2026 at the College Turf, bringing together students with an interest in strength, fitness and competitive sport. Held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the event witnessed a footfall of around 70 students.
The event began with an address by Mr. Bhavin Parmar, Sports Officer at BESC, and from the college management Mr. Jitendra Shah, who encouraged the participants and highlighted the importance of sports and active participation among students.
The competition featured separate categories for male and female participants, divided into four weight groups — Under 60 kg, Under 70 kg, Under 80 kg, and 80 kg and above. This allowed both experienced arm wrestlers and newcomers to compete in a fair and challenging environment.
As the matches began, the College Turf quickly became the centre of attention. Students gathered around the competition area, cheering enthusiastically for their friends and favourite participants. Every close match was met with loud cheers and encouragement, with the crowd remaining captivated as competitors battled for every advantage. The energy of the spectators added to the excitement and motivated the participants to give their best.
The competition tested more than just physical strength, with technique, focus, control and determination playing an equally important role. The winners included Lakshya Tomar, Angad Singh and Raunak Mishra in the Under 60 kg category; Krish Mittal, Piyush Jha and Adarsh Singh in Under 70 kg; and Tammay Pandit, Shiven Jaiswal and Imam Ahmed Hussain in Under 80 kg. In the 80 kg and above category, Subhratim Ghosh, Shashwat Duley and Harsh Jaiswal secured the top three positions, respectively. Among the female participants, Arti Singh, Nandini Rawat and Junifa Parvin finished first, second and third, respectively.
The event successfully created an energetic sporting atmosphere while encouraging students to explore a sport that is not often seen in college competitions. With enthusiastic participation, an engaged crowd and intense matches, the Arm Wrestling Competition proved to be an exciting addition to BESC’s sporting activities, promoting fitness, discipline, sportsmanship and healthy competition.
