And yes, the college had done it. And in what style….every suggestion given by the students was executed to perfection! Who could have believed that 40 hours ago an event of this magnitude could have travelled from concept to conclusion. “The Bhawanipur College” of course. The name says it all, doesn’t it? Each college student tuned in to experience one of their unforgettable moments of a lifetime.
RJ Praveen lit up the stage starting with his hilarious shayaris and continuing with the gymming boys doing push ups. Well well, the girls were undoubtedly going oo lala!! The winner was prized with a chance to ask a question of their choice to their favourite cricketer. The pranks and entertainment just did not end there, few girls and boys were called up from the crowd to sing, dance and express their hearty feelings for their favourite star. The popular anchor doled out doses of wit and pun. Soon the heartthrob Praveen announced the most waited arrival of the Team KKR! And finally, on 12 th of May, at 12:05 p.m. the crowd bursted with a roar of sensational excitement which as I believe was even louder than the one at the Eden’s. The bhalobashi team entered the campus with raptures all around. Suryakumar Yadav, Sheldon Jackson, Colin Munro and Rajagopal Sathish were welcomed with thunderous applause.
With their arrival, our Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah announced the beginning of the college’s 50th year’s celebration. Then followed the cake cutting ceremony. Team KKR and our respected dignities led by our Senior Vice President Sri Miraj D Shah did the honours. Thereafter the balloons were released by our President Sri Champak Lal Doshi indicating the beginning of a great year ahead.
Witnessing such a celebration happen raised the enthusiasm amongst the students and many felt overwhelmed as the event unfolded. Next up, the lucky winners got their chance to get the answers
to their nagging questions. All the players shared their personal experience in the college and admitted they felt at home in the campus. Snapping selfies and penning autographs, compliments and goodbyes were of course a part of the departure.
Finally at BESC we guarantee a sensational series of events as we celebrate our Golden Jubilee year ‘coz we believe that what we imagine, we can achieve.
Last of all, Gujarati’s do not say ‘bye’, they say ‘aavjo’ meaning come again.
